Laude Development Award
During our 2013-2014 academic year, Laude San Pedro International College introduced the Laude Development Programme. This programme was aimed primarily at Year 10 and 11 students with a view to fulfilling specific objectives in order to help develop their social, personal, organisational, charitable and sporting skills. This programme will now be extended and developed into groups from Year 10 to Year 13, thus creating the opportunity for more of our students to benefit from this highly beneficial programme.
Our Laude Development Award will comprise of four main development areas. Each of these must be completed to a certain level in order to attain one of the 4 categories of award (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum) at the end of a 1, 2, 3 or 4 year cycle. The development areas are:
- Citizenship (Volunteering/Charity)
- Organisation and Service
Each development area will provide students with the chance to undertake different tasks, ranging from organising a large whole school and community event to completing adventure trails in the surrounding Andalucían mountains.
In order for students to take part and achieve the Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum award, their completion of the 4 development areas should be recorded in the Laude Development Award log book and they should provide evidence of any activities they have accomplished.
The Laude Development Award and associated development areas and tasks are specifically designed to ensure our students who undertake and complete the award will leave Laude San Pedro International College a well-rounded, academic and socially skilled young person.
