Student Teachers

18th October 16

This month in our Primary School, a selected group of Year 5 students were lucky enough to take part in a lesson on British Sign Language. What made this lesson even more special, was the fact that it was delivered by one of our very own Secondary students. Rowan Litchfield (8M) delivered the 50 minute class to her students, which involved teaching them how to sign the letters of the alphabet and the colours of the rainbow.
This not only helped the Year 5 students learn some useful signs to communicate with people from the hearing-impaired community, but it also allowed Rowan to gain the next level (Part ii) in her Qualification for the British Sign Language course. Thanks Miss Rowan!
