Children from Early Years, Foundation and KS1 enjoyed an exciting workshop this week. Sharon Bulloch from our Early Years Team resourced and made a range of multi sensory imaginative activities. Many of the activities were made from recycled materials. The workshop was set up with the intention of inspiring and offering staff some ideas for their classrooms. The activities were multi sensory to provide children with opportunities for open ended learning and investigation. Children learn best through active learning and hands on play based activities. These activities enable children to discover, to explore recent learning practice, develop new skills and most importantly follow their own interests and have fun. Everyone enjoyed their visit to the workshop and Teachers and children were indeed inspired. All gave a huge wave of appreciation to Sharon for sharing her passion and putting in such a lot of hard work, most importantly, teachers commented that they will be putting many of these ideas into place in their classrooms.
